LibreWolf

A fork of Firefox focused on privacy, security, and user freedom
website

LibreWolf is a Web browser derived from Firefox with enhancements to privacy, security, and user freedom. The most notable changes center around the removal of anti-features such as advertising, DRM, and privacy-hostile functionality, and the addition of anti-browser-fingerprinting via Tor Browser’s privacy.resistFingerprinting hardening:

LibreWolf is designed to increase protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also including a few security improvements. This is achieved through our privacy and security oriented settings and patches. LibreWolf also aims to remove all the telemetry, data collection and annoyances, as well as disabling anti-freedom features like DRM.

Each version of LibreWolf is built from the latest version of Firefox, in contrast to GNU IceCat, which tracks the latest long-term support (LTS) release instead. As such, each LibreWolf version will contain the latest Firefox features, while GNU IceCat is relatively stable, only receiving new features from Firefox after a new LTS version comes out.

Browser extensions (also known as browser add-ons) are small programs that extend the functionality of your Web browser, including enhanced privacy features.
